House Tremont Gallery Presents:
“What Do We Have In Common?” By Renowned California Artist Gaye Lub

Be the first to add your comments to this historical art installation before the Lub’s take it to the streets of Cleveland and Philadelphia. They have designed special free standing easels, 30” wide and 6’ tall, that can be written on either side and are asking the question “What Do We Have In Common?” Your answer will be seen at both the RNC & DNC.

Lub’s installation is also a visual timeline of significant events her family lived through during the first 16 years of this Millennium. This collection of images that will be displayed by renowned California Artist Gaye Lub is her personal story of what she believes unites us. It is her invitation to empower ourselves, as active citizens, against the strategies used by our news media.

Part of her installation consists of thirteen panels, 4’ wide X 5 ½’ tall, and one panel 8’ wide X 4’ tall, and tell her unique story of our history captured by significant and sometimes very startling images and words she cut and lifted from magazines, newspapers, television, billboards, TV tabloids and the Internet beginning with 9/11. She scanned the images then digitized and printed them on canvas with acrylic paint and they were adhered to custom-built sturdy wood frames with an epoxy resin overlay. Side by side all the panels displayed span approximately 70’ wide and reveal a very eye-opening story.
